Scanmar’s bridge systems consist of one or more receiver units and one or more display monitors.
The receiver unit (not to be confused with the hydrophone) processes the signals received from the sensors, removes noise and false signals, and prepares the signals for simple and straightforward presentation.
The processing and presentation is the result of more than 30 years of experience in recording from numerous vessels and in close cooperation with fishermen. It currently provides all the information fishermen need, both as an intuitive graphical snapshots and as a historical plot (i.e. logging):
The graphic images provide a very simple overview and one can immediately see if problems have arisen.

Trawl Eye, Trawl Sounder and sonar images provide very good and deiled information about fishing, fish entrance and position.

Historical plotting (log images) has three important features:
- A description of what has taken place for further analysis.
- A display of trends so that one can become aware early of what may happen. For example, a filling indicator that shows filling degree for optimal completion of the haul.
- The compilation of data that provides a full understanding of the totality of what is happening. For example, how door distance is affected by changes in towing speed and door angle.
